Saturday evening our local PBS station (WFIL, Hershey, PA) broadcast an hour special featuring artists who appeared on this program. Janis Ian, Earl Klugh and Spyro Gyra were featured.

Didn't get to see a lot of Spyro, but two of their earlier arrangements of which "Morning Dance" (not the new acoustic version) was one, were featured in their entirety. Apparently at this date Spyro really turned on the crowd with their performance and Jay Beckenstein, in an after concert interview, simply shook his head and said somedays a real connection is made between an audience and a band. This performance was one of those rare occasions.

A shame the whole hour couldn't have captured this event with Spyro Gyra since it was obvious the crowd was lit up.

I hope that this is not the PBS Special that WQED was talking about!
I assumed that that program would be a full hour at least.
Speaking of that broadcast...didn't George at WQED say it would be available fro national broadcast in summer 1999?

This was NOT the Spyro PBS Special from WQED. Perhaps it's about time to find out where this special stands at this point.

this special was of the Sun Fest Festival and was hosted by John Tesh.
