Hello, Hello,

I had the pleasure of watching the band at the festival over the weekend in Prague, it was again a good show in a strange type of venue, it was an ice hockey arena which held most probably around 10,000 people, but it was really empty, but still had about 1,000 people in etc, they played the second slot at around 1630 and really blew awoke the crowd and blew the place to life. A great show as really they were like a warm up act for van morrison of all people. Afterwards Scott did a jam session in the basement bar, real excellent stuff. The set was kinda short, but still excellent, especially "Conversations", this was the crowd pleaser. Looks like the band is really enjoying Europe, so look out USA, the boys will be back soon, and I'll see you all at the Mohegan Sun Casino show in CT Dec 17th, Paul.

I must say that the Prague festival was one of the worse I’ve been in. Generally the quality of music wasn’t too high (apart from Spyro of course) and like I said before, Van Morrison was again a huge disappointment for me. Apart from Acker Bilck’s fancy humor and speaks, and smooth yet predictable old school playing, there was nothing to stay for after 5pm when Spyro had ended their gig. For ten years ago I might have been more thrilled about the whole thing, but now that there’s a larger comparison background I’m not at a slightest bit.

Excluding the musical field, one of the other things that really sucked was the informational side. There was apparently a fair amount of foreign people, yet everything was in Czech. All the written information, announcements, band introductions etc. When we changed our reservations for tickets, it took nearly half an hour to get the thing done and so on…

But Paul, I think there still were some 6000-7000 people – maybe even more – as in the huge hall some hundred people did look like nothing. The capacity was some 22-23 000 I believe.
