It is a fact...i missed the guys last tuesday night here in San Juan...It was a cruise....so you know...security...blah blah blah!!! But it was the best time i've had with the guys...and it follows:

At 2pm i recieved a call from Tom ....YES!! A CALL FROM TOM!!! hehehe....he told me that he was going to do his best to see me after the 9pm show...(they had 2 shows that day) And so it happened. I waited outside the gates from where the cruise was and They they were....Jay, Julio and Scott walking to the hotel... (The Hotel is just in front of the bay) Then Tom and Bonny got there in a bus!!!

It was so good to see the guys...we had a couple of rounds at the bar i told Jay "You don't have the chance to invite your favorite band for a drink every day". That time was more than enough for me to feel good....I saw them anyway...not playing but being just themselves...and that..that's a collector's item!!! \:D

Eril!!!

Man...I truly feel for you brudda....ouch! But absence makes the heart grow fonder....I know!

Due to some really bad injuries suffered in a bike accident, and the resulting rehabilitation and MOUNTAIN of bills, I had missed the "The Deep End" AND "Wrapped In Dream" tour stops in the SOCAL area. I am blessed that the band has made stops in the Los Angeles/Orange County/San Diego area every year since my first Spyro Gyra live experience on Nov 8, 1985 @ Universal Amphitheatre.

So, since the recent October 3 2007 gig was my first since April 2003(Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana, CA), I REALLY was looking forward to seeing them(even more due to GTGG!)...the band, of course was in near perfect form, thankfully).

For a fellow Spyro-bro to miss the band--knowing how dedicated a fan you are....well, when ya do see them again, it will be that much sweeter.

And other than an English guy named Paul(classy name!), who flies across the pond to see the world's greatest jazz band, YOU Eril, are the only one I know of who actually FLEW IN to see the band!!!

Getting to hang with the band after a gig is indeed a special experience....I am glad you got to do that, hope you said HI from me!!

Meantime, put in your tape of 2004 and the new DVD and JAM....it is SPYRO TIME!

Paul
